Hey guys…this is Coach Huber with a little guest blog…I asked Coach Bell if I could write something because I am really getting excited as we count down the days to pre-season and your return/arrival back on the CU campus. I believe deeply that the 2012 season is going to be one we will never forget. And I believe God has prepared and led each of you to be part of this CU men’s soccer community. And perhaps most of all, I believe that it is time for us to do something BIG, something MEANINGFUL, something filled with JOY, and something AMAZING as a team. I don’t know about you, but as I have read our team summer book LOVE DOES (let me know for some reason if you still don’t have a copy!) I have come to the conclusion that it is not the time to just talk or dream or imagine…it is time to DO. It is time to win a championship, to save tens of thousands of lives in Africa, to experience in all fullness the love and friendship God offers for us as a team. And it can only happen when each team member does what God calls him to do as a brother, player, and follower of Jesus. My prayer is that you will step on campus August 10 ready to put your faith and your feet into action from DAY ONE…here’s a quote from the book I will leave you with as you get ready for this fall…CHIP
“It has become clear to me that we need to stop plotting the course and instead just land the plane on our plans to make a difference by getting to the “do” part of faith. That’s because love is never stationary. In the end, love doesn’t just keep thinking about it or keep planning for it. Simply put: love does.” BOB GOFF in LOVE DOES, p.xvi
