The 2013 Golden Eagles finished 9-7-1, which included a 5-4 record in the WHAC. The team had a strong big wins against Aquinas. Leading the team this year was senior Jordan Wilson, junior Tristan Esprit, junior Chris Buitenhuis, and senior Richard Moylan.
5 big wins against Goshen (3-0), Cleary (5-1), Spring Arbor (2-0), Concordia (1-0) and Aquinas (1-0) helped get things on track.
A tough 2OT loss to UM Dearborn was the start of a very difficult run. The Golden Eagles bounced back after UMD with a big 1-0 win over Siena Heights for our Night of Nets game. The team traveled to UNOH and lost 4-0, earned a 1-1 tie vs Madonna at home , 2-0 loss to Marygrove at home and a 2-1 loss to Davenport. The regular season finished with 3-0 vs Indiana Tech and 1-0 win vs Lawrence Tech.
The team traveled to Madonna in the first round of the playoffs and lost 2-0 to end the season. Post season honors included Jordan Wilson being named WHAC Defensive Player of the Year, Mario Williams WHAC All Conference HM, Academic All Americans Mark Kunnen, Brendan Powers and Marcel Santana. Mark Kunnen was named to WHAC Champions of Character team.
